God preserved His original NT Text for you!

The goal of this website is to glorify God, magnify His Word and help normal people understand which New Testament (NT) translations can help them align perfectly with the will of God and which translations are lacking due to the use of bad underlying Greek text.

Executive summary

Although reading most NT translations is better than not reading the Bible at all, the majority of readers are unaware that:

  • God has 100% perfectly preserved His written Word.
  • God used faithful and extremely detail-oriented scribes in the Greek-speaking Heartland of the Church to perfectly preserve the original Greek NT text in a blockchain-like manner.
  • 95% of the existing Greek NT manuscripts are at least 98% accurate.
  • Prior to 200AD, heretics in Egypt revised the original Greek NT text to suit their Gnostic beliefs.
  • Two false apostles from a secret society devised a new theory of NT text transmission based on Darwin's false theory of evolution.
  • These two false apostles then used this new false theory in combination with two bad Egyptian Greek NT manuscripts to concoct their own pick-and-choose or "critical" Greek NT text.
  • This false theory and bad text have caused massive and pervasive confusion in the Church since 1881.
  • Most popular NT translations since 1900 are based on Greek NT text that is only 92% accurate, i.e., the Nestle-Aland (NA) and United Bible Societies (UBS) Greek NT text.
  • Despite all the confusion and wholesale corruption of the source text for translation, good readable NT translations that are based on 98-100% accurate underlying Greek text are available in many languages, so switching to a better translation of the NT is feasible and prudent. Free downloads are provided below.

Promises fulfilled yet forgotten

Is your God big enough to keep all His promises?

Is your God big enough to preserve all the original text of the Bible, as He promised?

Most Bible scholars do not really believe that God is big enough. They are not perfectly aligned with God and His Word. Possible reasons include:

  • They do not really believe God and all of the Bible.
  • They were wrongly taught that the original inspired text is lost.
  • They are relying on translations that are based upon bad Greek NT manuscripts which came from Egypt.
  • Nobody has told them that perfect copies of the original autographs are still available.

The premise of this website is that our Sovereign Creator keeps all His promises, especially the ones to preserve His Word, i.e., all 66 books of the Bible, for example:

  • Remember his covenant forever, the word he commanded to a thousand generations. - 1 Chronicles 16:15 CJB
  • The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God shall stand forever. - Isaiah 40:8
  • "For assuredly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one iota nor one tittle shall pass away from the Law until everything happens." - Matthew 5:18 SCS
  • Because all the promises of God in Him are "Yes"; indeed, in Him they are "Amen", that there be glory to God through us. - 2 Corinthians 1:20 SCS
  • "I myself testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If any one adds to them, may God add to him the seven plagues written in this book! And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God remove his share from the tree of life and out of the Holy City, that stand written in this book!" - Revelation 22:18,19 SCS

Regardless of how much faith you have in God and the Bible, if you spend a little time to understand the information presented here, you will be blessed.

Greek NT text preservation scorecard

You do not need to know Greek to study the Bible. However, you need to understand that not all NT translations are based on the same foundational Greek text. Out of 3000 continuous-text manuscripts, 95% are 98-100% accurate. It is the other 5% that have been causing trouble. Below is a summary of the three main types of Greek NT text:

Text type Quan-tity Accu-racy Original location Scribes
Byzantine (Majority) Text ~2850 ~98-100% The Heartland of the Church (Asia Minor and Greece) Loyal and very detail-oriented servants of the Lord Jesus Christ
Various odd texts with unique errors ~135 ~93-95% All over the Medi-terranean Region Men with various degrees of care and committment to the Word of God
Alexandrian Text ~15

~92% Egypt Deceived servants of Satan

Scribes and manuscript dates

Contrary to popular opinion in academic circles, the scribes doing the copying are much more important than the dates of the manuscripts.

scribe

In fact, older manuscripts are usually worse, because they were of poor quality and seldom used. The best manuscripts quickly wore out from use and had to be replaced sooner. This is like a good pair of well-worn shoes usually wears out much sooner than other shoes that are less worn.

Blockchain-like preservation

The transmission and preservation of Scripture has been similar to the distributed ledger concept of blockchain technology today. More properly stated, blockchain is a man-made imitation of God’s design for data integrity. A blockchain is said to be 'decentralized', so it is theoretically not controlled by any central authority. It is also a 'distributed' system, so all data is shared, recorded, and validated by a network of ‘nodes’. Nodes work together to form the governing infrastructure of a blockchain based on consensus of a public ledger.

blockchain

The nodes of the Greek NT Scripture were local congregations, mainly in Asia Minor and Greece, the heartland of the early Church.

heartland of early Church

The heartland of the early Church later became part of the Greek-speaking Byzantine Empire, which is the home of Eastern Orthodox churches. Their scribes were the primary agents whom God used to preserve the NT Greek text for over 1000 years.

98-100% accurate NT Greek text

Among all these Majority Text manuscripts, the largest group of independently transmitted manuscripts has hundreds of manuscripts that are well-made copies of the original autographs. It is called the Kr Family or Family 35 or simply F35.

Family 35 is the only line of transmission within known NT Greek manuscripts that is consistent in its archetypical form in all 27 books. The scribes who produced the core manuscripts that represent F35 clearly believed that they were copying Scripture. This can be seen from the extreme care that characterizes their work. (See the Greek NT copyist care comparison chart below.) No other line of transmission comes close to the level of internal coherence exhibited by F35.

Furthermore, the Family 35 Greek NT text is so far superior to all other comparative text that some particular manuscripts are 100% perfect copies of the original documents written by the apostles. God ensured that perfect copies would always be preserved, because He promised that He would do so!

Dr. Pickering's work includes extensive books and articles, The Greek NT According to Family 35, and an English translation of the Family 35 Greek NT, called The Sovereign Creator Has Spoken. All interested readers are encouraged to visit Dr. Pickering's website to find more information.

Greek NT copyist care comparison

Copying Scripture by hand is a spiritual task. In our generation, few people have actually tried it. Prior to the printing press, though, the degree of care in manually copying inspired Scripture was an extremely important matter to the true followers of our Sovereign Creator. The chart below compares the different degrees of care given to the task of manually copying NT Greek manuscripts since the autographs were published. (Source: Incredibly Careful Transmission, by Dr. Wilbur Pickering.)

Manuscript Copyists Variants Attitude of the copyists
Perfect Family 35 Byzantine (Majority) Text Selected, humble and extremely detail-oriented slaves None Handling the inspired Word of God, desiring the work to be pleasing to God, fearful of making any mistakes, and supernaturally anointed by God (Isaiah 66:2; Matthew 5:17,18, Revelation 22:18,19)
Typical Family 35 Byzantine (Majority) Text Humble and extremely detail-oriented slaves 1 per several pages on average Handling the inspired Word of God, desiring the work to be pleasing to God, and fearful of making any mistakes (Isaiah 66:2; Revelation 22:18,19)
Worst Family 35 Byzantine (Majority) Text Serious detail-oriented believers 1 per page on average Handling the inspired Word of God and desiring to be faithful (2 Timothy 2:15)
Typical Byzantine (Majority) Text Detail-oriented lukewarm Christians 3-5 per page on average Sufficiently careful, but merely doing their religious duty without strong personal committment to the Text (Revelation 3:15-18)
Best Alexandrian (Egyptian) Text Non-believers Over 12 per page on average Just handling uninspired religious text, so the text can use some revision (inspired by Satanic or demonic influences; tares – Matthew 13:24-30)

92% accurate NT Greek manuscripts

The chart above indicates that the best Alexandrian manuscripts are corrupted and should be blacklisted. Prior to 200AD, the Egyptian church was plagued with gnostic sects, and after 200AD, most Egyptians stopped using Greek.

Egyptian gnosticism

Thus, Greek NT manuscripts from Egypt were largely ignored by the church as a whole until the 19th Century. At that time, Satan put in the hearts of two false apostles a desire to reject the dominant Majority Greek NT Text used for most Reformation-era NT translations throughout Western and Central Europe at that time, the Textus Receptus. They decided to replace it with their own version, which was a hybrid of two bad manuscripts from Egypt, called Codex Sinaiticus (or Aleph) and Codex Vaticanus (or B).

These two false apostles were Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort. They were theologians who were involved in a secret society called the Cambridge Apostles. (For more information, see the brief description on Wikipedia and the references it provides.)

Cambridge Apostles

For many years, these two false apostles worked to concoct their own "critical" or "ecclectic" (pick and choose) Greek NT Text. They published it in 1881, along with an explanation of their theory and methodology. Sadly, few people questioned them or did a background check on their theological beliefs. In those days, there was no internet, so it was difficult to do a background check, and it was very difficult to compare a large number of manuscripts. Thus, it was not easy for Bible scholars to challenge or refute the new Westcott-Hort (W-H) Theory.

However, in the 19th Century, Satan was already using Darwin's Theory of Evolution to sow seeds of doubt. The new W-H Theory was similar, as both deny the Divine inspiration of Scripture and the supernatural hand of God in history. Both theories were eventually disproven, but they have led to much doubt and confusion!

Darwin, Westcott and Hort

Tragically, the W-H Theory did not merely remain in academic circles. It spread to seminaries, churches, and Bible translation. In fact, the popular Nestle-Aland Greek NT and the United Bible Societies' (UBS) Greek NT are derivatives of the W-H Greek Text! This means that many modern NT translations in thousands of languages are based on corrupted Greek Text that is only 92% accurate.

Greek NT comparison

NT translations are based on the Greek NT. The Greek NT contains around 140,000 words, but most versions have errors. The following chart compares the accuracy of several important versions.

Greek NT Year Errors Accuracy Basis
Family 35 Majority Text (Pickering) 2021 0 100% Hundreds of collated Family 35 Byzantine Text manuscripts from many locations
Majority Text (Robinson-Piermont) 2005 ~700 ~99.5% Hundreds of collated Byzantine Text manuscripts from multiple locations

1881 ~14,000 ~90% Two poor and inconsistent Egyptian manuscripts, Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus

The ongoing Greek NT Text War

Because the Lord promised to preserve His Word forever, He has continually raised up faithful men of God to study and promote the concept of the Majority Greek NT text. Since the false teaching of Westcott and Hort emerged, the LORD has raised up men like John W. Burgon, Herman C. Hoskier, Arthur L. Farstad, Zane C. Hodges, Maurice A. Robinson, William G. Piermont, and Wilbur N. Pickering to devote much time and effort to reveal that God has indeed preserved the original words of the Greek NT – just as He promised! However, due to the efforts of Satan and his false prophets, there is a spiritual stronghold that is not easily overcome. Most seminary instructors are ignorant of all this. Among those who are somewhat aware of the concept of the Majority Text, few take the time to study it and teach it to their students. Therefore, the purpose of this website is to fight the good fight for the truth (1 Timothy 6:9-12). Below is a summary of the two camps in the ongoing Greek NT Text War.

True NT transmission and preservation

In summary, God has continually been active in the NT transmission and preservation process. This process can be illustrated as follows:

God

|

Apostles and prophets

|

God-breathed Greek original text

|

Initial identical copies

(Early Majority Text; distributed through wide relational networks in a blockchain-like manner all over Asia Minor and Greece)

|

Ongoing Majority Text

(Extremely carefully re-copied manuscripts replaced old worn-out ones; immutable like a blockchain; obvious variants were destroyed or blacklisted or ignored)

|

Translations into other languages

(e.g., KJV, NKJV, WEB, SCS, etc.)

False NT transmission theory & results

In summary, Westcott and Hort introduced a false theory of NT transmission. Their theory and the tragic results look like this:

Jesus’ followers

|

Original Greek text

(Not inspired and not preserved)

|

Survival of the worst manuscripts

(Older manuscripts are considered to be better, even if they came from Egypt and never wore out from actual use)

|

Westcott-Hort Greek NT

(Mainly based on two poor and inconsistent Egyptian manuscripts, Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus)

|

Nestle-Aland Greek NT

(Several manuscripts, mainly from Egypt, with highest value attributed to Papyrus 75 and Codex Vaticanus)

|

United Bible Societies’ Greek NT

(Nestle-Aland text with some minor changes)

|

Translations into other languages

(ESV, NASB, LB, NIV, etc.)

Aligning with God and His Word

Reading an NT translation based on Greek NT text that is 92% accurate is better than not reading the NT at all. However, anyone who sincerely wants to align with God and His Word needs a translation from the original 100% perfect Greek text or at least a version of the Majority Greek Text that is 98% or 99.5% accurate. After all, garbage in, garbage out! In fact, many problems in the church today started with people reading bad translations.

Sadly, few people understand the situation. Thus, they need to understand what God has done, what Satan has done, and what translations are available. Basically, they need to be reading an NT that was translated from the Majority Text. (See below.)

Translation limitations

No translation of Scripture is perfect or inspired, but some translations have more anointing from the Holy Spirit than others. There are several limiting factors in the translation process, including the following:

  1. The translator's understanding of the source language (Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek), including the vocabulary, grammar and syntax
  2. The translator's understanding of the target language (e.g., English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi), including the vocabulary, grammar and syntax
  3. The translator's understanding of the historical and cultural background of the people to whom the text was written to (e.g., Hebrews at the time of the Exodus, Israelites at the time of King David, Israelites at the time of the Jesus of Natzareth)
  4. The translator's ability to communicate in the common language of normal people, with minimal use of advanced vocabulary and jargon
  5. The translator's spiritual maturity, devotional life, degree of fear of God, and experience record in applying the Word of God in his life.
  6. The translator's personal experiences in life and ministry
  7. The translator's ability and willingness to seek the Holy Spirit's guidance when the source text is ambiguous and can be translated in more than one way
  8. The amount of comprehensive truth that the translator has stored up in his mind and heart when the source text is ambiguous
  9. Access to and use of Family 35 Greek NT manuscripts

Although many modern NT translators may be qualified in the first four aspects, some are lacking in other aspects, and most have used the Nestle-Aland or UBS Greek Text, which is only 92% accurate. Thus, most modern translators have been like bakers baking bread with a dozen eggs, and one of the twelve is rotten.

dozen eggs with one rotten egg

Would you eat bread made with these 12 eggs? If not, think seriously about the NT that you are currently reading!

The Lord Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4)

Note that all of the above translations are imperfect, but they are all based on some version of the Majority Text, so they all have a basis which is at least 98% accurate. The translation quality may vary from one to another. Ideally, every language would be a translation based on the perfect Family 35 Greek NT, but that is not the case yet. Please pray for God to raise up translators to revise those translations that are based on the UBS text.

A longer list is under construction. Please pray for this work, and please let us know if you can recommend translations in other languages.
